Hello, and welcome to the Omicron Xi Chapter of Delta Zeta. I would like to thank you on behalf of our chapter for visiting our new website! My name is Katelyn Puckett, but my sister’s call me Katie, and I am the current Chapter President of Delta Zeta at Mars Hill University, throughout the year of 2017.

Delta Zeta is made up of many different young women who have all come together for one common purpose, which is to live truly in our beliefs of helping others, friendship, personal development, leadership experience, and becoming individuals who are committed to making a difference.

A Letter from our President:

Here at the Omicron Xi Chapter of Delta Zeta we strive to excel in the areas of academics, leadership, service, and above all, sisterhood. Our chapter has members involved in the Bonner Scholars Program, Athletics, The Bailey Mountain Cloggers, College Republicans, College Democrats, and many other on campus organizations. We are all very well-rounded individuals, who are dedicated to helping others, not only at the national level with speech and hearing, but also local philanthropies within the Mars Hill and Asheville area. Aside from helping out those in need around us, we are always there for one another, participate in different sisterhood events to create a bond that cannot be broken. There is never a dull moment within the Omicron Xi Chapter.

Being in Delta Zeta has given me many valuable experiences, both personally and professionally. I have had the opportunity to become more involved on campus and to develop professional skills from many different resources, such as, being given the opportunity to travel to both Ohio and Texas for Delta Zeta leadership conferences, holding different chair positions and executive board positions, which in the long run prepared me for the position I am in today, as the Chapter President. Along with lasting friendships and memories, Delta Zeta has given me the tools and confidence that will help me be a successful woman throughout my life. I am obsessed with this sorority and all of the amazing things it has given me, but most of all I am forever thankful for the lasting sisterhood bond I have created with so many different people, especially those from my home chapter, Omicron Xi. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to serve my chapter as the Chapter President, but I am more grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than myself.
